Prada Show - Women's Collection Autumn/Winter 2018/19 in Milan

Creative Director : Miuccia PradaInspiration: the show is held at the new Prada Foundation building which is still under construction, with a view of the city, conceived by the OMA studio and the architect Rem Koolhaas. An industrial mood, almost in the dark, with light coming from graphic neon and mosty from the clothes. Miuccia Prada evokes the woman, combative and sure of herself, who can march in the streets at night with pride, without hiding in the shadows. Collection: a new femininity, very strong and controlled. The designer plays with the contrasts of revisited work uniforms, marked sportswear and a wardrobe of flowers, colours, sequins and fringing. Bustier dresses, draped at the front are worn over and underneath jumpers, and can possess a layer of tulle which covers all of the silhouette. Skirts or trousers can be paired with a bustier, which, very present, is also worn over a top. Nylon, leather and other technical materials are borrowed from sportswear for coats or a jacket which is sleeveless or slipped on. A touch of check sometimes accompanies the fluorescent, as seen through these fringed outfits, with a futuristic vibe for the last few looks. To note: the futuristic Prada logos, which even appear on a big jumper, the new bags with motifs that are both funny and captivating and the shoe protectors with drawstring openings which are worn over shoes or boots. Plus the new trainers. Music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information)
